Last week I got back from a months trip to Nepal, the roof of the world. Nepal is a magical place, where the spirit and practice of Buddhism is everliving. Echoes of mantras chanted in Sanskrit resonating in deep overtones leaking out of the monasteries, coupled with the strong smell of incense in the air leads to an overwhelming aura of enchantment.

Starting off in Boudha, one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu, where the monumental Boudhanath Stupa towers over the small settlement which is mainly populated by Tibetan pilgrims, I then made my way west to the Pokhara valley, before returning to Boudha via Bandipur.

Here are some of my photos from the trip.
